The Tiger Mom

My apologies for the lack of updates! Here is a piece I have recently worked on for my dream client, The Atlantic! I was fortunately asked to do three illustrations for the books section, Amy Chua’s book 'Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother'. I'm posting sketches along with the final this time, so I will be posting 2 more finals soon! Many thanks to Katie. It was really great to work with you! Thank you for reading!

Love the illustration Yuta! I recently finished reading Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother and enjoyed the book very much. Your illo is a great interpretation of both the mother and daughter's points of view. Can't wait to see more!

Your composition is incredible. The simple act of a tiger forcing a child to play is beautifully depicted in your image which is more valuable than 1,000 words from any author. Simply said, I admire your art.
